What Happened to Windows 7 at the End of October 2014 At the end of October, 2014, Microsoft stopped providing hardware partners with copies of Windows 7 Home (Basic or Premium) and Windows 7 Ultimate. Microsoft continued to offer support for these expiring systems until January, 2020.
